Hi, I’m Joe
I build and lead design teams. Three cross-functional UX teams at Citi across servicing, loyalty and lending. Designers, service designers and content writers at Maximus across Medicare and Medicaid. Today I lead UX at Consensus Cloud for eFax, a document platform used across healthcare.
Before that, experience design for Verizon, Philips, Pfizer, Home Depot and Best Buy.
My focus now is AI, in how my teams work and in what we ship. Prototyping in minutes instead of days, design standards that reach engineering as code.

How I work
I use design as a shared language between Product, Engineering, and Business. My job is to make the right path visible before teams commit to the wrong one. That means getting people aligned on real user flows early, building systems that reduce ambiguity at scale, and knowing when to move fast and when to slow down and pressure test assumptions.
I also apply cognitive psychology and behavioral principles to reduce friction and simplify complexity so experiences feel obvious to the people using them, which is harder than it sounds and usually only gets fully appreciated when it is missing.
I also volunteer mentor on ADPList and am always open to connecting with designers who want feedback or perspective on their work.
