Accelerating Enterprise Product Delivery by 50%
At eFax (Consensus Cloud), the traditional design-to-development lifecycle for complex enterprise tools was too slow for the scale of their portfolio. Manual handoffs, inconsistent documentation, and rebuilding core components from scratch created significant technical debt and delayed the launch of critical features.

Workflow Stack
I re-engineered the product process by moving away from manual "art" and toward an automated, component-driven machine. By treating AI as a collaborator for execution rather than just a shortcut, we synchronized design and code at the root level.
Foundation with MUI (Material UI)
We standardized on MUI to provide a production-ready, accessible (WCAG 2.1 AA) React component library. This eliminated the need to build "primitive" components (buttons, inputs) from scratch, allowing the team to focus 100% on unique product differentiation.
Rapid Prototyping with Figma AI and Figma Make + Claude Code
By connecting our MUI brand variables directly to Figma Make, we reduced prototyping time from three days to 30 minutes. Claude Code and Figma AI now generate high-fidelity layouts that automatically adhere to eFax's brand tokens, spacing, and typography, allowing us to move from a "blank page" to a functional directional concept in minutes.
Outcomes:
The cycle from initial brief to stakeholder-ready interactive prototype was cut in half, achieving 50% faster delivery. We successfully moved the UX team from a service-provider into a high-velocity product engine capable of shipping validated, enterprise-grade products at scale.
Handoff Automation with Kiro and Storybook
We integrated Kiro to automate token updates between Figma and the codebase, ensuring what designers see is exactly what engineers build. This was paired with Storybook to automatically generate component documentation, providing engineering with a live, interactive reference that stays in sync with design changes.
